Eric finishes off his previous entry with an admonishment of women. I can't even imagine what his thoughts would be with our modern world and gender politics. He then says that his prescription for humanity is the same as the Germans solution to the Jewish question. He is very clear: "KILL MANKIND - no one should survive". The idea that utopia can never exist and that humans, as part of their nature, are flawed, are probably pretty widely held views in the general populous. I like how he says he shouldn't even be explaining himself because most people won't understand his motives anyway.... and if you do then whoop dee do. He seems to think that if he cannot bring every single human around to his point of view than nobody deserves to survive. Eric talks about his belief in moral relativism and that there is no universal framework from which to determine if an action is "good" or "evil". Do beliefs like this allow an individual to commit (what general society would consider) atrocities without feeling like they are committing an evil act? Or a better question would be: Does having a defined value system of good and evil prevent some people from committing terrible acts?
