Eric's grandparents reaction to the shooting - For quite a while there has been an account of Eric's grandparents reaction to the events of 4.20.99 floating around the internet. It also appears in Jeff Kass' book about Columbine. It apparently was an interview with the neighbor of Eric's maternal grandparents. Some terrible quality pictures of them can be seen HERE. Their names were Richard and Elaine Pool. They were the parents of Eric's mom Kathy Harris nee Pool. On 4.20.99 Their neighbor, Steve Ferguson noticed more cars than usual near their house. He didn't go over that day though and waited a few days before talking to them. He spoke with Eric's grandma and asked if anything tragic had happened. She said yes that one of her grandkids was killed in the Columbine attacks. Ferguson was giving his condolences when she exclaimed "my god Steve... he was the killer". Ferguson asked the grandsons name and she said "Harris". About a week after 4.20.99 Ferguson saw Richard Pool outside his house and spoke with him. Eric's grandpa was crying and Ferguson said he was explaining the situation. Eric's grandpa said the whole thing was eating him alive and that he wasn't able to sleep much for the past week. He also said that he would never be the same again. The neighbor says that he does not believe either Eric's grandpa or grandma ever mentioned Eric or the attack again. I cannot vouch for the veracity of any of this but it seems plausible and I am unsure why someone would invent such a seemingly unimportant and ancillary detail about Columbine. I do feel bad for Eric's extended family. 

April 11th 1999 - I think this is referring to Eric's activities on 4.11.99. Some of them were documented on what is now called "Reb's Tape". It is evidence item #298. This tape contains two separate recordings. The first is Eric and Dylan driving in Eric's car. The second part is Eric alone talking to the camera in his car later that day. When the first section starts one of the boys says "Its Monday April 11th". The only problem is that Monday April 11th did not exist in the year 1999. April 11th was a Sunday. Now it is totally possible that they just got the day wrong accidently but some people have pointed to this as proof of something larger. Some say it shows how 4.20.99 was some sort of breaking point and things were different before. A partial transcript/description of the tape can be read HERE. Thanks to Dr. Peter Langman. When evaluating what was actually going on that day it is tough to get a read on Eric. It is clear he and Dylan were doing prep work and running errands earlier in the day. However Eric's mood shifts drastically in the part of the video where he is by himself. He is reflecting on his past and cries at certain points. He apologizes to people for what he is about to do and speaks directly to his parents. At one point he even says that he wishes he was a sociopath so that he didn't have these feelings. It is a totally different side of Eric that we never see or hear about... and that is why I think it has been buried and controlled so tightly by Jeff Co and the government. Eric predicted it correctly that only certain information would be released to the public in order to control the narrative surrounding Columbine. Eric was passionate, caring, and completely lucid about what was coming on 4.20.99. I think this video sums up the idea that he did what eh had to do, regardless of his personal feelings. The tape has never been released publicly, however, there is one frame that many believe is the beginning of "Reb's Tape". It can be seen HERE. It was found at the very end of the Rampart Range video released by Jeff Co. It apparently shows the roof of Eric's car and some of the sky. I suppose it is possible it is just a frame of something else, such as a short accidental film, but I think it is the start of tape #298. Also Eric is smoking a cigar in this tape. 

"We are going to the mountains to film" - I am unsure about this one. Still digging.  

Eric's carbine had a laser sight - Eric's HiPoint 995 carbine rifle did have a laser sight... if you could call it that. It can be seen HERE. It is just a guess but it appears to be a 90s model laser pointer that has been electrical taped to the barrel of his rifle. Eric actually had "Laser for Carbine" written on a list of things he needed to get but it was crossed off when the note was found leading us to believe he had acquired it. That note can be seen in the link with the pictures above. I believe this was more of an aesthetic choice by Eric and maybe was even intended to induce fear in those at the school on 4.20.99. Eric understood how laser sights work on rifles and would have known that a home made one like this would only provide a very general direction in which the bullet was heading. 

4/20 log of police calls - Somewhat obviously, there were many many 911 calls placed on 4.20.99. There is a complete list of them in the 11k and I am in the process of typing them all out HERE, btu it will probably take a while. There are 38 pages and I am trying to do one a day but its slow going because I have to use a print out and a ruler to make sure I am getting the info correct. There are some interesting things among the list of calls. Many of the more famous calls such as Neilson's call form the library and Wayne Harris' call about Eric. There are multiple discrepancies in the timeline of the call log. Specifically on calls from teachers inside CHS. When I finally finish typing it up I may have more insight about this. 

Eric Veik "finishing the job" - Erik Veik, seen HERE, was a friend of Erics during high school. He was involved with the video production club and worked alongside Eric on many of their projects. Veik worked on "Hitmen for Hire" and "CHS Highway Patrol" and was the person filming the "Eric in Columbine" video. Veik was a junior during Erics senior year, 1999. A video of him, talking to the media the day after the attack can be seen HERE.  In October of 1999, 6 months after the attacks, he was arrested for making threats against Columbine High School and saying he would "finish the job". He was held on a 500k bond and eventually sent to a youth facility because he was 17 at the time. Other students at CHS said that while he acted sad in front of adults, he would laugh about the shooting when he was among friends. A short clip about it can be seen HERE. People have also said that he was very fond of Eric and looked up to him. I think Veik may have even been in love with Eric. Another Columbine student said that she thought Eric liked Veik as a friend but that Eric "used him" for rides and to do things for him. 

Stairs carpet bloodstains - Most of the carpets at Columbine High School were torn up and replaced during the summer after the attack. There were blood stains on the majority of it as people who were injured were moving around. On the main staircase, seen HERE, the carpet was also pulled up and replaced. The carpet was only on the actual stairs on the staircase and not on the large landing area where Eric kneeled to fire at the propane tanks as seen HERE (I wish I had a better resolution image of this shot and if you find one plz send it to me). As to the question of whose blood would have been on the staircase there have been a couple of ideas. The first thought was Dave Sanders, the teacher and coach who was shot and killed that day. He definitely used the staircase, as seen HERE, but he was not shot until he was on the second level and remained there until he died. My best guess is that there was probably a small amount of blood that most likely came from people who were injured going down the staircase throughout the day. There is also a chance that some of the blood may have been Eric's. After the massacre in the library Eric and Dylan went back down to the commons. Eric had already broken his nose at this point and was most likely bleeding. He may have bleed as he was walking up or down the staircase. HERE are a few terrible quality photos of the staircase with the carpet removed. 

E+D in court audio - Eric and Dylan had a probation hearing in front of a judge as a part of the consequences for the "van incident". A short clip of the audio recording from that hearing was released by NBC news as a part of a 4.27.99 exposee. You can see/hear it HERE. I am sure the actual audio file was significantly longer but NBC doesn't even respond to Columbine related media requests anymore. I think Eric's manipulation is one full display here. He speaks clearly and respectfully to the judge and says exactly what he is supposed to say, despite already being well into the planning for the events of 4.20.99. 

CCTV footage that hasn't been released - As far as I know there has not been any of the security camera footage that has not been released. There have always been rumors that there were other cameras around the school that caught different things, specifically that there was a camera in the library, but I have never seen any actual evidence of that. I did hear that there was security footage from a roof camera that was pointed at the parking lots but that was just a rumor and I don't think it exists. Carla Hochhalter - Carla Hochhalter was the mother of Anne Marie Hochhalter, a Columbine student who was injured on 4.20.99. Anne Marie was shot multiple times by Eric outside the commons around 11:20a. Anne Marie was hit in the spinal cord and was paralyzed. The family struggled after 4.20.99 as Anne Marie was recovering. The community rallied around the family and had multiple benefits and even gave the family a new house that was outfitted for a wheelchair. On friday October 22nd Carla Hochhalter drove to Alpha Pawn Shop on South Broadway at about 10 in the morning. She asked to examine a .38 cal revolver and said she wanted to buy it. While the clerk was filling out the background check paperwork, she asked to hold the revolver to see how it felt. She then loaded it with cartridges that she had brought into the store with her. She fired one shot into the wall and then the next into her temple, killing herself. It is a sad story and she is just another extended Columbine victim. 

"Dear Eric David Harris" Susan Dewitt - Eric's last date was with a girl named Susan DeWitt. Eric asked her out the saturday before the attack, 4.14.99, and they spent prom night together and watched the movie Event Horizon. DeWitt was a junior in the 98/99 school year and worked at Great Clips which was near BlackJack Pizza. She spoke extensively with FBI investigators both about that night and about Eric in general. On that saturday they were at Eric's house and his parents were not there in the evening while DeWitt and Eric watched the movie and talked in the basement. DeWitt says that Mr. and Mrs. Harris returned around 10 pm and came downstairs and talked to her for a few minutes and they seemed very nice. She even says that Mr. Harris mentioned to her that he gets his hair cut at her store. After his parents went back upstairs Eric and DeWitt went back into Eric's bedroom, which was downstairs just off the room they had watched the movie in. There they listened to some music of which DeWitt could not recall exactly what it was, just only that she was not familiar with it or the type. Eventually she had to leave so she wouldn't get in trouble with her parents and she says that Eric gave her a kiss on the cheek before she left. Mr. Harris got a haircut at Great Clips on 4.18.99 and he saw DeWitt and said hello to her, she specifically mentions that he called her "Susan" and had remembered her name. The last time she saw Eric was on Monday 4.16.99 before school when she talked with him outside for a few minutes. Dylan may have also been with him for this conversation but DeWitt did not know Dylan and couldn't recognize him. DeWitt penned a letter that was published in the Denver Post a year after the attacks and make it very clear that she cared deeply about Eric. Eric seems to have treated her respectfully and had genuine feelings for her. I imagine that his date with her that Saturday was a time when he was truly happy and enjoying his life. It's interesting to see the contrast between his relationship with DeWitt and how he acted just a few days before 4.20.99. 

Dylan's College Application Essay - Dylan applied, and was accepted to the University of Arizona. In January of 1999 he wrote an application essay that we have a copy of. It can be read HERE. I don't find it particularly well written and includes some misspellings. The most interesting part of the essay to me is how he wrote it while knowing he was not going to be alive to actually attended college. He even visited the campus and picked out a dorm room. I wonder if he was just going through the motions to fool everyone around him, or if he was kind of just purposefully repressing everything and just living his normal life. The essay is definitely written in a different way than the majority of Dylan's journal entries and I sometimes wonder if his mom "helped" him with it. 

Students had sex during the massacre - This is in reference to the rumor that on 4.20.99, students who had barricaded themselves in classrooms or closets, had sex with each other during the attack. I guess this makes a little bit of sense, maybe they thought they were not going to make it out alive and wanted to experience it before they died. I cannot find where the rumors actually started and I definitely cannot find any hard (no pun intended) evidence that anything like this took place. 

Rachel Scott Jump Certificate - Rachel Scott was killed on 4.20.99 when she was shot by Eric outside the school around 11:19a. She had always wanted to go skydiving and had planned to do so at some later point in her life. in 2011, Scotts' sister, Bethanne McCandless, got jump certified and had the company add Rachel Joy Scott's name to the print out she received as a way of honoring her. The certificate can be seen HERE. 

"Going to shoot your kid in the 2020 Columbine remake" - This is in reference to an incident that occurred in August of 2020. There was a zoom meeting set up for teachers and parents to disseminate information about remote learning. A group of individuals joined the call and began to show nazi images and draw inappropriate phallic-like objects on the screen. They also showed violent videos such as beheadings and typed threatening comments like "Going to shoot your kid in the 2020 Columbine remake." I am not going to link the video or images here because I don't want Google to get mad at me. The individuals who did this are referred to as "hackers" but the zoom call was not even password protected to the only hacking they had to do was join the call. I am reasonably sure it was just some kids who wanted to shock people and make a stink. No violence was ever carried out and it was kind of odd because it was a meeting about students not coming into the school anyway. The spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept said that Columbine High School receives multiple threats every year and they would investigate to figure out who the "hackers" were. They never figured it out... shocker. 

Dylan in a restaurant footage - Back in 2020 a new video clip of Dylan showed up on the internet. It appears to show Dylan sitting in a booth at a restaurant and eating a tortilla chip. The video can be seen HERE. Some have said he is at the Chili's restaurant near Wadsworth and Bowles in littleton. Dylan is wearing his AOL shirt and wearing his large glasses. He looks like his scraggly self, very skinny with his hair unkempt. 

"Have a good day tomorrow" - This is in reference to an interaction that supposedly took place inside Columbine HS on 4.19.99. A student, Trevor Stark, allegedly bumped into Eric while they were walking down the hallway and there was a discussion as to who was at fault. As they two separated and continued on their ways, Eric said "Have a good day tomorrow" in a sarcastic voice. Nobody else was around them when this happened so there is no way to verify that it actually took place. I do actually believe that this happened. It seems very in keeping with the kind of person that Eric was. One thing I am unsure about is that Stark describes Eric as wearing his black "trench coat" during the encounter and from what I can tell nobody else said he was wearing that during school on 4.19.99. 

r/Columbine prevented a mass shooting - If there is one thing that is universally true about Reddit users it is that they think they are more important than they actually are.... so take this story with a grain of salt. This all revolves around a person named Dylan Jarrell who made some threatening statements online about shooting a person at Shelby County High School in Kentucky. He made some threats on Reddit and Instagram and eventually a woman from New Jersey reported him to police for sending her racist messages. Apparently when police stopped him in his driveway he was heavily armed and had a detailed plan of attack on him. He ended up being charged with a variety of things including lying to the FBI. Of course the people over at r/Columbine thought they should get the credit for getting this mentally ill individual arrested. An old post about it can be seen HERE. A news article about the whole incident can be read HERE. I know that Jarrell was obviously somewhat interested in Columbine as he was posting on the subreddit dedicated to it. Generally speaking he just seems like an idiot though. 

Eric attended 8 schools in total - Eric moved quite a lot with his family in his youth. His father, Wayne Harris, was a pilot for the Air Force and was always moving from base to base. This led to Eric attending 8 total schools throughout his academic career. A complete list of those schools can be found HERE. Many people have speculated that Eric may have become the person that he was because he was moving so often. I know he mentions it multiple times in the basement tapes. He was in Littleton for the last 6 years of his life and that is where he really formed into what he was. 

Video of Klebold's house - Dylan lived at 9351 Cougar Road in Littleton, Colorado, 80127 during 1999, you can see it HERE. Built in 1978 up in the Jefferson County foothills, the 3543 square foot single family home has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. A fence separates the long driveway from the road. Tom and Sue Klebold purchased the house in 1989 for $250,000. They wanted the house out in the country because it was close to nature, and they thought it would be good for their two sons. Dylan's room was on the second floor. The large property has a guest house and swimming pool. It is probably worth about 2.5 million now. Some people have said that Tom Klebold still lives there but I could not confirm that and it does say the house was sold in 2014. I am unsure as to what video of the house this is referring to as there are a few. My guess would be that it is THIS terrible quality one from 1999. There were other walkthrough videos taken by law enforcement but they have never seen the light of day. I think it would be super interesting to see the videos of Eric and Dylan's houses as they were on 4.20.99. 

Columbine DOOM Level - There are two things that I think this could refer to. The first is the idea that Eric may have designed a Doom WAD that was based off of Columbine High School. This rumor comes from Columbine student David Proctor, who played Doom with Eric online about once a week. It actually wasn't online because it was a direct modem connection but whatever. Proctor says in his interview with police that Eric told him that he had created a Doom level based on Columbine High School. I have never seen any evidence of a WAD designed by Eric that resembles CHS. Proctor also related that Eric was mean to him in game. Eric used an egg to change Proctor into a pig and then hit him with a fireball. Then he proceeded to call proctor Bacon for some time after that lol. Another interesting thing from proctors interview is that he said 'Eric was incredibly smart and knew how to handle people." Proctors information can be found on pgs 7039-7044 of the 11k. The other thing that this could be referring to is a variety of fan made levels in a variety of games that all resemble CHS. Some, such as Super Columbine Massacre RPG! are somewhat famous in themselves. There have been multiple attempts to replicate CHS in Doom and some of those can be seen HERE. So in conclusion I would say that if Eric did create any Doom levels that replicated CHS, he wither destroyed them or they were lost.
